Confessional Standards

 Article 3-C of the Constitution of Pilgrim Lutheran Church ("Confessional Standards")

This congregation accepts without reservation:

3.1-C  The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as the inspired, inerrant, written Word of God as the only rule and norm of faith and practice;

3.2-C  All the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as true and unadulterated statements and expositions of the the Word of God, to wit:  the three ecumenical creeds (The Apostles' Creed, The Nicene Creed, The Athanasian Creed), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, the Large Catechism of Luther, the Small Catechism of Luther, and the Formula of Concord, all as contained in the Book of Concord (1580 A.D.)

A simplified summary of beliefs that stem from the above can be seen here.
